Andrew Brus has more than a decade of hands-on experience across the oil and gas industry, with a well-rounded background spanning drilling, completions, production, and regulatory operations. Since joining Chipcore and WEC in 2022, he has managed production operations for Chipcore while providing a broad range of consulting services through WEC, including production management and optimization, wellsite supervision for drilling, workovers, and completions, AFE preparation and review, and comprehensive regulatory support.
Andrew began his career on the drilling side as an MWD Field Engineer before advancing to Directional Driller, gaining operational experience throughout the Rocky Mountain region and West Texas across projects of varying size and complexity. In 2019, he transitioned into production operations with the Salt Creek CO₂ Flood to spend more time closer to home, later moving into a regulatory role where he managed projects from APD through final abandonment. His diverse career has provided him with a full-lifecycle understanding of oil and gas development—from permitting and drilling through production, reclamation, and abandonment.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Technical Education from the University of Wyoming.
Outside of work, Andrew enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, hunting, and fishing, and remains active in community service. He has volunteered as a driver for Meals on Wheels and currently serves on the board of the Two Fly Foundation and Platte River Foundation.
